“My work begins with looking — noticing colour, line, pattern and the small details of everyday life that might otherwise be overlooked.

Born in Ireland and now living in the Cotswolds, I am influenced by landscape, gardens, interiors, objects and memories of places that have stayed with me. I am particularly interested in how a colour, pattern or familiar object can evoke a memory or feeling.

Drawing and colour are central to the way I explore ideas. I enjoy working instinctively, allowing imperfections and unexpected marks to become part of the work.

I don’t define my practice by one particular material or process. I prefer the freedom to follow an idea and allow it to find its own form.

At the heart of my practice is curiosity — learning to trust what catches my eye and developing my own way of seeing.”
