Four Friends, Four Styles - Kelvin Broad, John Treweek, Owen Williams and Merilyn Brason

Four Friends, Four Styles

Tuesday 3rd November to Sunday 8th November, The Setting gallery and Plot café

Four long term friends who express themselves through different painting styles.

An exhibition of the paintings of a group of four friends, John Treweek, Merilyn Brason, Owen Williams and Kelvin Broad, who, for many years, worked together at Wotton Under Edge Arts under the guidance of the late Rob Collins.

Merilyn continues to paint her vibrant seascapes whilst exploring exciting new techniques. She is currently creating still life and landscapes in oil on paper.

Owen, a recent addition to the group, is a self-taught pastel and watercolour painter. His sensitive work reflects his interest in colour, light and form.

The theme of John’s paintings is the bend in the River Severn at Arlingham which he paints in an increasingly abstract and colourful way.

Kelvin has explored the fun and frustrations of painting with watercolours, more recently working, with what he has learned so far, toward a looser style of painting.
